About Me

Does the beautiful crinkle of a freshly washed quilt give you the warm and fuzzies inside? It is one of my absolute favorite things to snuggle a gorgeously textured quilt straight out of the dryer. I feel like a kid opening presents on Christmas when I pull it out after the very first wash. The warmth, softness, and the subtle smell of laundry detergent is nothing short of pure bliss. 

My name is Ashlee, and I live in the beautiful state of Montana. I made my first quilt when I was pregnant with my daughter in 2015. That was the beginning of my quilting obsession. Years later, here I am. Writing quilt patterns, longarm quilting, and collecting more fabric than I could ever use. It’s amazing how one little project for my baby turned into a career.

I started longarm quilting by renting a machine at a local quilt shop, and I took to it like a fish to water. I immediately fell in love and knew that this was something I wanted to do all day, everyday. Since then my passion for quilting has only grown.  I decided to start Crinkly Quilts so that I can help others achieve fabulous texture on the quilts they work so hard to create.
