JoyOS Advisor
As a HUSQVARNA® VIKING® brand ambassador I have been able to spend the last couple months playing around with the Designer Sapphire 85. And let me tell you, this machine is so fun! I have been doing my best to try out all the bells and whistles this machine has to offer. This week I decided to play around with the JoyOS sewing advisor. Oh, you don’t know what that is? Well, I didn’t either. To put it simply, the JoyOS Advisor is a sewing teacher built into the machine. Lets explore what this feature has to offer.
When it comes to garment sewing, I know nothing. My skill set includes sewing a 1/4” seam allowance and that’s pretty much it. Thanks to the JoyOS Advisor built into my machine, I have step by step interactive tutorials at my fingertips for pretty much anything I could ever want to do. Zippers, buttonholes, pleats and ruffles, necklines, and hems. You name it. The JoyOS Advisor can walk me through it all. Let me show you an example. Lets say I want to know how to install an invisible zipper. No problem. Joy has me covered. Simply select the “Zippers” technique, and the sub categories of what kind of zippers pops up. Then you select “invisible zipper,” and just follow the step by step instructions and on screen videos. The instructions are clear and easy to follow, and you can go at your own pace.
But JoyOS doesn’t just teach sewing. JoYOS also teaches you how to use your machine. The Knowledge Center of the JoyOS Advisor is all about the basics. Embroidery set up, winding bobbins, threading you needle, accessory guide, which stabilizer to use, and so much more. It’s like having your manual right there at all times, ready to answer your questions. Sometimes the “fancier,” machines can be intimidating. But it’s not intimidating when your machine literally teaches you how to use it.
Now, to say I am impressed with the JoyOs Advisor is putting it lightly. I am blown away. I am someone who is a visual learner, and to have the video instructions on how to complete any sewing technique I can think of is a huge deal. Now put those videos right there, IN MY SEWING MACHINE! WHAT?! Genius. A world of sewing knowledge right at my fingertips, and I don’t even need to get out of my super comfortable sewing chair. Dreams really do come true.
The JoyOS Advisor is available in select HUSQVARNA® VIKING® machines. The Designer Sapphire 85, Designer Ruby 90, Designer Epic 2, and Epic 95Q all have the JoyOS Advisor built into them.
